Black Panther & F.Gary Gray

Marvel are looking for a director to their first African-American superhero movie, Black Panther. Meaning no white directors are in talks, but F.Gary Gray and Ava DuVernay are on the shortlist. For F.Gary Gray this isn’t the first time being in talks to direct a Marvel a movie, as he was considered to direct Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but dropped out and made Straight Outta Compton, which turned out to be a win for all parties. Now he is once again in a pickle, being nominated for Furious 8. While some say it to be a tough choice, we all know what the right decision is in this case.

Black Panther the movie is set for July 2018 release. Black Panther himself (Chadwick Boseman) will appear for the first time in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War.
