We all know there is a rivalry between DC and Marvel, mainly in box office. But now Zack Snyder decided to take it to a completely new, low level.
The director, whose short resume includes mostly mediocre but high-grossing movies, and is now directing the upcoming Batman vs. Superman, claims in an interview with The Daily Beast it will be better than any of the Marvel movies to date:
I feel like Batman and Superman are transcendent of superhero movies in a way, because they’re Batman and Superman. They’re not just, like, the flavor of the week Ant-Man — not to be mean, but whatever it is. What is the next Blank-Man?
While I’d rather not go into my preferences on the superhero movies front, I will say that the Dark Knight trilogy movies were the best so far. (Yes, even better than Avengers. There, I said it.) I also think that Zack Snyder is destroying what Christopher Nolan had been building for years. It began with ruining Man Of Steel and continues with bragging about a movie that hasn’t even come out yet. It gives a strong sense of hypocrisy when statements like that come from someone who has never made a really great movie. Snyder should be restrained, at least until his movie is out.
